Hey, Nicolas Carbone-Deep here, as mentioned on my homepage. I’m an English major with interests in theater, communications, social science, and anthropology. Human culture is what fascinates me most, what societies grow to value more than others and why, how they base their faith off of their beliefs, and how their faith can also affect their beliefs are all subjects that interest me greatly. This is why I have enrolled in this world literature course, in order to explore global cultures from a literary perspective, which I feel gives greater perspective than any textbook could.
I am an avid music fan and collect records, and I am biased towards rock and metal, especially extreme subgenres of metal such as thrash, death, and black metal. However, my favorite band of all-time is the progressive rock band King Crimson, whose name my alias is based on. My other primary hobby is that I am a dungeonmaster for a D&D game that I run for my friends, and have began construction of my own setting, using what I learn while studying culture in order to bring it to life to the best of my ability. What I love most, however, is acting in character, and creating fun characters in which to act as, and while I’m not the most talented individual, I put energy and passion in every time I perform a role.
